Laid Back Radio is set to drop a 15 track compilation from various artists they've been working with since 2002. Due out June 10th, "In The Currency of Love" is the second track featured from the project, and it's a soothing reggae influeced jam produced by ClassicBeatz out of Brooklyn, NY and sung by Wellington, New Zealand vocalist, Lisa Preston. I love how Lisa's angelic voice carress the tone of Classic's beatifully arrange composition. This is the type of joint you just unwind to. Camp Lo & Pete Rock - Mic Check (Video)

The Lowa joins forces with the Chocolate Boy Wonder, Pete Rock to brings us the first video from the forcoming album 80 Blocks From Tiffany's. Gotta give it to PR on the beat. Very different from most of his catalog I've heard. As for Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede, they get it in with their stylish rhymes and wild subject matter that'll have you running this joint back a couple. Cop the free download of 80 Blocks From Tiffany's The Mixtape to hold you over 'til the full album drops.

Just Jay - Sonic Controller (Video)

Everyday a new artist is on the rise, and Just Jay is next up ready to make his presence. Backed by an ill Tall Black Guy track, Just Jay fills the infectious bassline with straight forward, raw lyricism and emotion. "Sonic Controller" is featured on his soon to be released solo album "Livin on Borrowed Beats." Check the soulful "Going All In," also produced by Tall Black Guy.

Jinx - U ft. Monica Delgado (Official Video)

I'm proud to say, I was in attendance last night at the "U" video release party for my dude Jinx. The crowd showed up a bit late, but nevertheless, they showed up and represented well for the Tampa emcee. Backed by a live band and featured vocalist, Monica Delgado, Jinx delivered an energetic performance that had the crowd in awe. The video for "U" is most definetly a winner and one to compete with for many big named artists. Colorful, playful, creative and hip-hop all the way. Enjoy this one.

Phony Ppl - If This is How Love Feels

The problem with good music is that there's so much of it out in the universe that it's virtually impossible to keep up with it all. I do my best to stay on top, but there comes many of times where I miss out on some incredible joints. Hence, I'm damn near 2 years late finding out about Brooklyn bred Phony Ppl. Consisting of 8 band members - ages ranging from 18-20 (maybe a year younger) come together to compose great songs, with a mixture of melodies and a hip hop flair that's NYC all the way. Hearing them today for the first time, I'm pleased to welcome their sound to my collection. Peep "If This is How Love Feels" below from their 09 free project WTF is Phonyland.

Stephan Muldrow - Ceilings

I shouldn't be surprised to find out that the multifaceted Georgia Ann Muldrow has a very talented brother as well. Stephan Muldrow displays his skills on the keys with this beautifully played composition entitled Ceilings. Just allow yourself to free your thoughts and embrace this excellent piece of work. Sorry no pic of Stephan, but believe me, the siblings bare a strong resemblance.

WSLE Soundscape Radio - Episode 18

Kind of a short episode, but loaded with some dope gems. I start out in the UK with female producer Subeena then bring it back to the states with some cuts from a few of my favorite releases. Big ups to Alexis Williams for putting me on to the ill sounds of ReneeDion. I journey back with a few bangers from my younger years in hip hop, then it's a rap closing out the cast on a mellow note. Enjoy
